Leadership & Board

Ron Landers, President & Executive Director at FAITH Foundation

Ron Landers

President & Executive Director

Ron Landers brings more than four decades of ministry, nonprofit leadership, teaching, and organizational development experience to the FAITH Foundation. His passion is connecting people in need with meaningful resources while building practical systems that strengthen individuals, families, ministries, and communities.

Raised on four continents, Ron developed a lifelong appreciation for diverse cultures and later served as a missionary in Europe and South America for more than 20 years. His experience also includes serving as a hospice chaplain and as Executive Director of Christians in Action, where he led nonprofit initiatives, ministry outreach, and community engagement.

Ron earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Columbia International University and pursued doctoral studies in Intercultural Studies with a minor in Educational Studies. He has developed Christian leadership and training curricula, mentored emerging leaders, and is fluent in Portuguese.

As President and Executive Director, Ron oversees the Foundation's day-to-day operations, donor and community engagement, incoming assistance inquiries, and the use of a programmatic fundraising platform to identify funding opportunities, streamline charitable outreach, and strengthen donor engagement. His leadership advances the Foundation's mission while expanding support for affordable housing and related charitable initiatives.

Ron and his wife, Linda, have been married for 40 years and have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and seven grandchildren. Together, they have pursued several entrepreneurial ventures, including real estate investment and other business enterprises. They remain active in their church through small-group discipleship and prayer ministries, striving to live out their Christian faith through servant leadership, integrity, and compassion.

Reid Whitesides, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at FAITH Foundation

Reid Whitesides

Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Reid Whitesides is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of FAITH Foundation, bringing more than 20 years of experience in construction, roofing, project management, sales, and consulting to the organization's leadership. He also applies deep expertise in technology and software development — building the operational systems, platforms, and automation tools that keep the Foundation running efficiently and positioned to scale its impact across Texas.

Reid's commitment to this work is deeply personal. During a prolonged struggle with addiction, he spent nearly twenty years incarcerated in the State of Texas — giving him firsthand understanding of the barriers families face when rebuilding after addiction, incarceration, and housing instability. Today, sober for more than fifteen years, he channels that experience into leadership grounded in empathy, accountability, and the conviction that stable housing is the first step toward a rebuilt life. He credits his Christian faith and God's transformative work as the foundation of his recovery and purpose.

Reid and his wife, Mary Ann, are recently married and are growing their family in Texas.

What Guides Us

The values our team lives by

Foundation, Affordable, Instruction, Tenancy, and Hope — the five principles of the Foundation for Affordable Instruction and Tenancy Hope that give our Foundation its name and shape every decision our team makes.

Foundation

We are the financial foundation beneath a family's first home — closing the down payment gap that keeps ownership out of reach.

Affordable

We keep the path to ownership affordable, directing assistance where it removes the single biggest barrier to buying a home.

Instruction

We pair every voucher with homebuyer instruction so families buy with confidence and keep their homes for good.

Tenancy

We protect housing stability and tenancy today so a setback never derails a family's road to ownership.

Hope

Hope is the heartbeat of our work — we turn the hope of a home of one's own into keys in hand.

Stand with our team

Your generosity gives our team the resources to close the down payment gap and put families into homes of their own across Texas.
